Last Post

This will be my last friends/public post on LJ. I think I'm just done with people being fake. I'm not getting anything healthy out of posting on here and everyone has dwindled off LJ. I don't have too much time to post here so I think I'd rather devote that time to something else. It's just time for me to move on from the whole fake internet friends thing. Peace out.

Trevor's Room almost Complete!!

yay! Our order arrived 2 weeks ago and we've been putting up the shelves and everything. It is not complete but I'd say we're about 80% of the way there.

We just got the small blue quilt handing up on the crib today it was made by my friend fran. It's fabulous!

My mom picked up the star quilt clips at Babies R us for me because I went to Lowes and they didn't know what Quilt Clips were lol. I love the quilt that is on the wall that is all part of his nursery set- it has so many different fabrics. I am sure he will love it when he is old enough to really use it :)

I haven't figured out what's all going in the wall cubes yet but I figure we'll have photos and feet imprint type stuff or maybe a piggy bank to put in there later on.

Nothing is crooked, just me holding the camera a funk. Oh and I already know the bumper can't be in there when he sleeps in there, I just put it in there till he comes and then we'll take it out.

The changer doesnt have a cover yet. I'm going to wait until after my shower to buy anything else for him-- or at least I'll try!!! I almost bought a fuzzy one at sears last week :x but I'm trying to hold off.

I'm also going to get baskets or pull out cubes to put inside the changing table where the stuff is.

I got Trevor's first pair of vans! They are blue checkerboard.

The walker is hand-me-down from my parents house from when I watched my nephew. I spent 3 hours disinfecting, washing and cleaning all the stuff they brought over.

ignore the pole, Ron was working on the valence. I also want to get some bubble wall stickers to put up! And a frame where you can put the trimester ultrasound photos in.

See the adorable starfish ron had to have? This is what picked the theme for his room, we both loved it! Ron wanted this or a sports room and he can have a sports room later on when he is older, I can only do cutesy stuff for him for so long :)

It's not my fault Patrick is a starfish! He kinda just wondered in... hahaha :)

Pregnancy Timeline- 6months

As posted on http://ransomletters.org:

prego

Not a fabulous photo, but you can tell I'm smuggling a basketball, oh I mean, baby!

Well Mr.Trevor James is due in only 3 more months. I can't believe it. I'm so excited, but trying to enjoy the just couple time we have left and also savor the time I have to get the nursery and house baby ready.

Which means I've been organizing. Clutter kills me. I can't believe how much unnecessary junk we have moved.. Salvation Army is seriously getting a couple calls. I am probably the person in my family who likes to "purge" stuff the most. My dad has the hardest time getting rid of anything. He seriously would be upset if he knew I wasn't going to hang onto this train set, that is all broken, crappy and Trevor can't play with it until he's 3 years old because I could picture him swallowing half of it. It's not in any condition to ebay and I don't like ebaying used stuff really much at all. I only ebay things that I don't end up using.

FLOOD. NICE.

POSTED ON RANSOMLETTERS.ORG:::

The culprit: Samsung Fridge only 6 months old.

Friday we were off of work but we were moving stuff to the new house, like our smaller stuff that we could haul in the cars. We did the moving truck on Saturday.

So the last time we left the house was at 5:30pm and we took stuff to the new house, unpacked some, then went out to get some last minute Easter stuff. (No luck though on the $50.00 thing, I just told Ron he can surprise me later, because I feel weird picking out my own gift, and I can't find anything I want... Maybe I'll show him some things from the MAC site or have him take me)

Anyhow we left 5:30pm come back at 10:30-11pm and see water flowing down our driveway, the garage full of water. and I thought it was our sprinkler issue again... then Ron was like "No.... IT's COMING FROM THE HOUSE!" I didn't even want him to open the door. It's this sick feeling you get in your stomach, I could never explain it. Just an adult's nightmare.
We open the door and there is about 2 inches of water filled the downstairs and pouring out the door. Like our house was a kiddie pool, I'm not kidding. We're lucky the downstairs is tile. We're blessed we had moved a lot of the boxes to the new place. But all our furniture and guitar hero, etc was ruined. We found it was coming from the fridge, Ron opened the door and it was a like a starburst commercial where this wall of water just comes out and knocks you over.

So we called my family and they spent until 2am sucking all the water up with wet/dry vacs. I was just bummed when I saw our scrapbooks Rons yearbooks and stuff were ruined.

The most irritating part? we called samsung 2 days before, to tell them the filter exploded inside the fridge and the fridge was freezing everything even though we turned it up to like 45 degrees. At no point were we warned to do anything and they weren't going to have someone come out for a WEEK. Like had they have said something to us, this whole NIGHTMARE could have been prevented.

I took pictures of everything as it was happening. We lost at least $3,000 worth of furniture, $300-400 worth of food (that spoiled because our fridge is not working at all now), various other stuff like $300 at least. We have already filed a libility claim with them. The reason I'm mainly mad is this is the newest, most upgraded model that they sell. We're requesting they replace our fridge (since for now we have no fridge capabilities in the new house and I've had to go out and buy bottled water) and we can't keep perishables at our house. It blows. I want some milk dangit! HAHA! Milk is the one thing my pregnancy can like, not live without!

All in all we're greatful we had almost all of our electronic stuff moved out.
Greatful it happened at the old house instead of the new one, our new one has carpet and we'd have to go through renters insurance. And our new is one story, so the flood probably would have ruined everything insight. So we are trying to look on the brightside.

But Samsung, I'm never purchasing any appliance by you ever ever again.

We had a 13 year old fridge before this that never caused us one problem. Why did we have to want a snazzy fridge with cool features, that just ends up flooding your house.

We have a guy coming out tomorrow to like inspect the fridge. I don't care if he preformed a miracle on it, I am not putting a waterline near that thing. I'll buy my filtered water until they replace it.

What are your Halloween Traditions?

originally posted at Ransomletters.org

This is the first year in awhile that I am dressing up and being all festive. Although, my costume got delivered to my OLD address and the new resident there claims to have not received it even though postal tracking says it was delivered. I searched all the costumes and decided to come up with one of my own. I am very super excited about it :D  Ron has been helping me make some stuff for it, and I got to buy some really cute stuff that I can wear again (awesomeness!). Needless to say we did a lot of shopping :) and ron has a really rad fortune teller costume.

Aside from that, I am thinking maybe making some homemade popcorn balls together…we bought some decorations and we’ll be doing the porch ect…Aside from pumpkin carving. Last year we watched the First Friday The Thirteenth and basically laughed our bums off. I’ve never seen Nightmare on Elm Street so maybe it’s time to rent that!

We’re going to go to dinner with our couple friends and see Saw 4. OOO. I cannot wait to get off work :D!
