FLOOD. NICE.

POSTED ON RANSOMLETTERS.ORG:::

The culprit: Samsung Fridge only 6 months old.

Friday we were off of work but we were moving stuff to the new house, like our smaller stuff that we could haul in the cars. We did the moving truck on Saturday.

So the last time we left the house was at 5:30pm and we took stuff to the new house, unpacked some, then went out to get some last minute Easter stuff. (No luck though on the $50.00 thing, I just told Ron he can surprise me later, because I feel weird picking out my own gift, and I can't find anything I want... Maybe I'll show him some things from the MAC site or have him take me)

Anyhow we left 5:30pm come back at 10:30-11pm and see water flowing down our driveway, the garage full of water. and I thought it was our sprinkler issue again... then Ron was like "No.... IT's COMING FROM THE HOUSE!" I didn't even want him to open the door. It's this sick feeling you get in your stomach, I could never explain it. Just an adult's nightmare.
We open the door and there is about 2 inches of water filled the downstairs and pouring out the door. Like our house was a kiddie pool, I'm not kidding. We're lucky the downstairs is tile. We're blessed we had moved a lot of the boxes to the new place. But all our furniture and guitar hero, etc was ruined. We found it was coming from the fridge, Ron opened the door and it was a like a starburst commercial where this wall of water just comes out and knocks you over.

So we called my family and they spent until 2am sucking all the water up with wet/dry vacs. I was just bummed when I saw our scrapbooks Rons yearbooks and stuff were ruined.

The most irritating part? we called samsung 2 days before, to tell them the filter exploded inside the fridge and the fridge was freezing everything even though we turned it up to like 45 degrees. At no point were we warned to do anything and they weren't going to have someone come out for a WEEK. Like had they have said something to us, this whole NIGHTMARE could have been prevented.

I took pictures of everything as it was happening. We lost at least $3,000 worth of furniture, $300-400 worth of food (that spoiled because our fridge is not working at all now), various other stuff like $300 at least. We have already filed a libility claim with them. The reason I'm mainly mad is this is the newest, most upgraded model that they sell. We're requesting they replace our fridge (since for now we have no fridge capabilities in the new house and I've had to go out and buy bottled water) and we can't keep perishables at our house. It blows. I want some milk dangit! HAHA! Milk is the one thing my pregnancy can like, not live without!

All in all we're greatful we had almost all of our electronic stuff moved out.
Greatful it happened at the old house instead of the new one, our new one has carpet and we'd have to go through renters insurance. And our new is one story, so the flood probably would have ruined everything insight. So we are trying to look on the brightside.

    But Samsung, I'm never purchasing any appliance by you ever ever again.

We had a 13 year old fridge before this that never caused us one problem. Why did we have to want a snazzy fridge with cool features, that just ends up flooding your house.

We have a guy coming out tomorrow to like inspect the fridge. I don't care if he preformed a miracle on it, I am not putting a waterline near that thing. I'll buy my filtered water until they replace it.
